You're very gracious OM .. but I don't think an apology to US is
necessary - you created some good discussion and gave the board a better
purpose for a while.

Subject: [Qcwa] My apology
To the group at large:
I apologize for the upheaval I set off about three weeks ago. I
have
found I was totally without basis and wrong and I ask for your
forgiveness.
It was like this. I raised some questions about an action taken
by the
board of directors, and some considered this an attack on them and also
on
the action they had taken. While I had stated in my post that I agreed
with
their position, some did not understand me and I regret the
misunderstanding.
I see that my raising questions caused even more upheaval.
To clear up my personal discomfort, I located the constitution
and
by-laws and have read them meticulously several times. I discovered QCWA
has
granted total and absolute authority in all matters to the board of
directors.
This is opposite to my experience in several other voluntary
organizations in which I have participated. I wrongly assumed QCWA would
be
similar.
However, no matter what my preferences might be, the constitution
states how this organization is to operate. I do believe in following
leadership and not in chaos in groups and organizations. The group as a
whole
has decided that this is the way things are to be. One either complies,
seeks
change, causes chaos, or leaves. I wish no chaos by continued agitation.
Let
us work within the group's wisdom of action.
To the board of directors, officers, and each of you whom my
questions
and comments have caused offense, I sincerely ask you forgive me. I have
repaired my ignorance and wish to repair the breach between us as
members and
as amateur radio operators.
