Sadly, in this day of direct deposit of federal pay checks, an honored USMC
tradition is now no more....standing in line to accept the Department of the
Navy paychecks (autonomous?)

I once tried to engage a Marine in a war of wits...but he was unarmed.

Seriously marines are an essential part of the Navy and I have the utmost
respect for what they do and have done.
