Larry......I dont see any reason why such a chapter could not be created.

I have no idea how many former Marines we have but as you know Marines have
a very strong cameraderie and it could be a very effective chapter with a
common bond.

I dont think that this will result in any type of "fragmentation"
whatsoever.
If you find that we have enough interest and enough potential members please
be assured that I will participate.

I will remind the QCWA reflector readers that the Marine Corps operated some
legendary traffic handling stations on the amateur bands (W6IAB, W6YDK,
KH6MC, KA3MC, W4PFC etc) before the advent of MARS so they are part of
amateur radio history.
