[Qcwa] QCWA LIST GUIDELINES (Periodic Posting)

In reading the reflector over the past several weeks, I have noticed that we
(QCWA) have a large number of former Marines in our ranks. And wondered if
there might be an interest in forming an all Marine Chapter? Understanding
that membership in any QCWA Chapter is open to any QCWA member and not just
limited to those folks claiming the title of a United States Marine.

I think it might be an interesting concept and would, if there is an
interest, take the necessary steps to form the QCWA USMC Chapter.

For starting points: (a) I would say that this chapter would hold one
annual meeting a year during the QCWA International Convention for the
election of officers/Directors. (b) Have no annual chapter dues, only
required to be a member in good standing with our International Association.
(c) Have a quarterly email newsletter dedicated to promoting Amateur Radio,
QCWA and the United States Marine Corps.

I would greatly appreciate your comments, suggestions and advice on this
subject.

73,

Larry McCalvy, USMC 55-58 2543/2533
