Yeah your rite!. It was a real hunk of heavy duty. At
a properly equipped xmtr site no problem as had jacks and rigs to hold
the innards of the darned thing up or as one fella said on another
msg about this thing lay it on its side (that was a job in itself
just accomplishing that)! Actually I had a "Globe King" around
1952 here in HNL and it was about the same size and weight but a
lot easier to work on the innards. It was a great AM rig and
with a 15 meter beam it did a grand job for me. SSB however was
looming on the horizon in fact it was already in use by then and
that kinda pushed the AM'ers out of business.
