I think it is time to send the guide lines again. Since I am the one that
started this list I want you all to know that discussions about QCWA and
things related to Amateur Radio in general are welcome here.....
with no censorship!

QCWA LIST GUIDELINES (Periodic Posting):
For those of you who are new to the list, (and for those of us who
have failing memories..), here is a quick list of things to remember
when posting to this list. Please print this and save it for future
reference.

1. YOU MUST BE SUBSCRIBED to the [QCWA] list TO POST to it. (This
is done to stop spammers from hitting the list.) Any postings sent to
[email protected] by addresses different from the ones it shows as
subscribers will be rejected. This includes alias addresses like
[email protected].
To subscribe and unsubscribe go to http://www.qth.net

2. The list program (major domo) also rejects any email postings that
contain HTML/MIME formatted text (colors, different fonts, bold etc.)
or attached files. This is done to keep the data volume and archive
size minimized. You must post email to the list as plain text ONLY.
To turn off HTML formatting in your email program you can go to your
email preferences section. The following links also can help:
http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/listowners/html-off.htm or
http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/nomime.html.

2a. If you want to provide an attachment, .JPG picture or other large
file for use on the list you can first post it to your personal web
page and then post a link to its address in an email to the list.

3. Please keep the amount of copied text from previous posts to an
-absolute minimum- in your replies. Delete everything except what is
necessary to keep your reply in context. Especially avoid copying a
long posting and adding 'Me Too!' at the bottom. As the number of
users on this list grows we need to work to minimize information
overload... If a reply is not of interest to the list, just reply
directly to the posting party.

4. Personal attacks, flames, or strongly worded derogatory messages
will not be tolerated. (Pausing overnight before pressing the send key
really helps..)

5. Please do not post items that do not pertain to QCWA or Amateur
Radio (such as Virus warnings or chain letters). General discussion
of topics usually found at Chapter meetings are OK.

6. And above all, HAVE FUN!. We hope that this list is both a good
technical resource and serves as a QCWA gathering place.
