[PVRCNC] Nominations of officers and the Board of Trustees for 2027

Dear PVRC members,

*Our PVRC Bylaws state that:*

*"The President shall call for the nomination of officers and the Board of
Trustees in September.*

*The floor shall remain open for additional nominations until October 31."*

This announcement calls for the nominations of Officers and Trustees who
will serve in the 2027 calendar year.

*The following official nominations for the five Officer positions have
been made:*

President:

    Bill Axelrod K3WA, served as PVRC Vice President for the three years
prior to 2025, in which he served as PVRC Secretary. As PVRC Secretary he
embraced the Secretary responsibilities and very importantly, Bill has also
codified those Secretary responsibilities.  He is currently serving as the
PVRC President in 2026.

Vice President 1 of 2:

    Rich DiDonna NN3W is completing his 2026 term as a PVRC Officer.  He was
PVRC President in 2012 and 2012, a very successful op at many PVRC
stations, participated in the WRTC and achieved many other outstanding
contest accomplishments. He also has more than 127 million 5M Program
points!  Rich provides additional perspective as PVRC makes plans and wins
even more club competitions each year.

Vice President 2 of 2:

    Rick Heinrich N0YY is completing his second term as a PVRC Vice
President in 2026. In addition, he is the Chair of the Southwest Virginia
Chapter.  He has been very proactive in contributing valuable technical
resource material to our PVRC.org website.

Secretary:

    Steve Worth NC4SW is completing his first year as PVRC’s Secretary in
2026.   He hit the ground running in January and has added significant
structure to this position.  He also is the Chair of PVRC’s North Carolina
Chapter. Steve has been awarded a PVRC Olympic medal in each of the
previous two contest seasons.

Treasurer:

    Ted Bauer WA3AER is completing his fifth consecutive and successful
term as a PVRC Treasurer in 2026. Ted is also the Chair of the Northwest
Chapter and has been proactive in promoting the PVRC Scholarship and the
WRTC Tent funds. In addition to maintaining our financial records and
reporting financial data to members each year, the Treasurer has the
important task of filing timely tax records with State and Federal
agencies.

*(Note that there is no Bylaw limit on consecutive terms for Treasurer or
for Secretary).*

*The Three Board of Trustee Positions available for 2027 are:*

1) Regional Trustee, must reside in MD/DC/PA,  3-year term expires End of
Year (EOY) 2029

2) Regional Trustee, must reside in VA/WV, 3-year term expires EOY 2029

3) Regional Trustee, must reside in NC, 3-year term expires EOY 2029

*The following official nominations for the three Trustee positions have
been made:*

Trustee MD/CA/PA: Frank Donovan W3LPL (incumbent)

Trustee VA/WV:  Kay Craigie N3KN (incumbent)

Trustee NC:  Guy Olinger K2AV (Incumbent)

*Note:  There are no term limits for board of trustees’ positions*




*Candidates for Officer or Trustee positions must be active members of
PVRC. *
Please nominate yourself or some other PVRC member who has told you that
they are willing to serve.

Nominations must be submitted in at least one of the following ways and
received before the end of October:

 1 - by Chapter Chairs in their official meeting attendance report
(recorded via PVRC website) or

 2 - to the PVRC Secretary (Steve NC4SW) directly from you by email or

 3 - to the PVRC Secretary (Steve NC4SW) directly from you by USPS.

    It is suggested that method 1 or 2 be used and that if sending an email
to Bill K3WA, at least one other Officer be copied on the nominating email. *If
you nominate someone,* *be sure they have agreed to serve if elected*!

A future Reflector announcement will have more to say about voting
procedure & ballots and that announcement is likely to look very much like
last year's announcement except for dates and candidate name changes. Each
candidate will have an opportunity to provide their own biographies in that
time frame.
