Comments:

This was a SOLP SSB unassisted effort. I tried playing around Saturday in
the CQP from the home QTH using the 10M Moxon’s in the attic. 10M was dead
to the west coast, with some activity from S. America. And I did make a
contact with a VK4 who was in the Oceania Contest. As for 20M, the CA
signals were weak and I just could not get anyone from CA to hear me. So,
that left me with 15M, where it was a struggle to make contacts. There was
a lot of QSB all afternoon, forcing me to wait for the signals to come up,
then try to be heard amongst the other calling stations. I can truly say
that this was not a fun effort. Even though I spent over 5 hours at the
radio, N1MM shows my on time was 1.5 hours. Quiet a contrast from my last
year’s 7-hour effort of 91 Q’s and 47 mults.

and N. East
