Comments:
This was a casual S&P effort this time. I just wanted to add some points
for the club effort and get more time developing a relationship with my
KX3/KXPA100 combination.
I had wanted to install a better option in the home attic for 40M and 20M;
however, just could not find the time and temperature to make that happen.
So, I squeezed out a few QSO’s on those two bands with the Moxons. The
tuner in the KXPA100 did well in matching the 10M Moxons on 15 thru 40M.
15 & 10M were my money bands with most stations in CA, MN and TX. I did
manage to work VP5E, by breaking thru the pileup on the 3rd call, along
with some other Caribbean stations. I did hear one weak KH6 station on 10,
but could not break that pileup before he disappeared into the noise. There
was a lot of QSB on 10 – 20M.
