[PVRCNC] The future of the PVRC-NC Chapter

All,

     Following up on my previous email string...

     I am still on track to relocate up to Maryland.  That will require a
series trips up and back as I getting my XYL settled in her assisted living
community, sell my home here, buy a home there, etc.  I will be out of town
for our May meeting.  I'd like your input on how should the PVRC-NC chapter
evolve.

     The more significant issue is who is willing to and/or would like to
step up to be the chapter chairman.  That most likely should be someone in
the triangle area since most (but certainly not all) of our activity is
here.  If you are so inclined, please let me know ASAP.

     The more immediate issue is who is willing to be the moderator for the
May and future chapter meetings.  Bill, K2TNO has volunteered to do that.
In this case the meetings would be Zoom only since Bill lives too far away
from Cary for an in-person or hybrid meeting to take place.

     There are other ramifications of doing that.  We have enjoyed several
years of doing hybrid-Zoom meetings at a great location in Cary.  And, BTW,
we owe Eric, NR4O, a big thanks for recommending the Hickory Tavern.
If/once we shift to Zoom only meetings we will have to cancel our
reservations there.  Afterwards we'd have to go through the challenges of
finding another venue.

     So, it is up to you all to determine the next what is best for
PVRC-NC.  Please think this through and share your ideas and opinions by
this coming Friday 24 April.  Better yet, raise your hand to be the next
PVRC-NC chairman.
