Comments:

This was an unassisted SOLP effort with part time BIC; an all S&P effort
concentrated on section mults. A last minute decision was made to use the
backup to the backup KX3/KXPA100 along with a modified MH3 hand mic (with
Heil HC-4 element). Primary K3 #98 is on the way back from Elecraft
Service. Backup K3 #5573 is still recovering from its workout efforts
during CQWW SSB.

I started the contest on 10 because of the potential for working some of
the rarer mults that would later have pileups. Plus, the antennas are most
efficient on 10, versus 15, 20 and 40. In 30 minutes I had WY, MT, MB, ND,
PAC, VI & PR among others in the log. Moved to 15 and logged some West
Coast and Mid-West mults. Called it an evening early at 0100Z to watch an
ice hockey game on the tele.

Picked it back up Sunday morning at 1330Z through 1530Z. Then it was off to
church with the XYL. Put in another hour at 1830Z, then off to see my
7-year old twin grandsons play a hockey game. Got back to the rig at 2230Z
and twirled the knob looking for new mults. Even spent the last hour on 40
squeezing RF out of a 10M Moxon trying to work some of the more regional
mults. Finished at 0040Z to watch another hockey game.

Heard a lot, but only worked a few, PVRCers while on 40. Many thanks to
those who were able to hear my somewhat QRP signal; logged 10 new mults.

Rig: Elecraft KX3/KXPA100 with Heil HC-4 mic element
Antennas: 3 MFJ-1890 10-Meter Moxons in home 2nd floor attic at 26 ft,
oriented NE, S and W.

73,

Henry – K4TMC
