Coming off CQWW SSB at VP5M this wasn't going to be a serious effort. While
trying to shoot fish in a barrel assisted is fun I went unassisted to see
how many mults I would stumble across or would find me. That side went
pretty well with three in a row on 10M at one point and then VY1CO, among
others, calling me while running. Never heard AK and missed two Canadians.
Here's how it went with 8.5 hours operating time to equal a rate of about
62/hour overall with some +100 runs to make up for unassisted S&P:
Band QSOs
------------
160: 0
80: 98
40: 128
20: 228
15: 64
10: 5
------------
Total: 523 Sections = 82 Total Score = 85,772
"Sweepstakes" is a misnomer these days as we watch on the panadapter that
big blob of computers making QSOs at the top of the bands using ham calls
while we struggle to create activity down below. Maybe it should just be
called the "ARRL QSO Party" to make the name be more related to the contest.
