NCQP 2026

A heads up for the NC folks. The NC QSO Party has usually been the same
weekend as the NAQP RTTY contest, which is only 12 hrs on Saturday. This
has allowed us to sneak in two contests in the same weekend without any
overlap.

For 2026, the NCQP date is listed as February 22. This is the same weekend
as the ARRL DX CW contest. This is disastrous for the serious NC contesters
and the cw ops in NCQP. Choosing between ARRL DX and NCQP is a no-brainer
for many of us (with NCQP being the loser, IMO). Secondly, the cw ops,
especially the mobiles, will be competing with the DX contest on 20 and
above during the day, and then 40 towards evening. I do not see this as
having a happy outcome. There's still plenty of time for NCQP to
change their date, which I hope they do.
