PVRC Needs You!

January has been a busy contest month for us with five (5) 5M contests.
You've filled the bands with PVRC callsigns for the first four.  One more
to go.

And this last one is the CW WW 160M CW Contest which starts at 2200Z Friday
24 Jan and ends at 2200Z Sunday 26 Jan 2025.  Note the start time is 2200Z
which is 1700 EST - 5 PM.

This is a fun contest.  Everyone can work everyone.  Any while a USA QSO is
2 points, a VE (or any NA country) is 5 points, and anyone else is 10.

So, the big guns who can easily work the DX will do very well.  But to do
so they need large antennas and specialized receiving antennas to do so.

But - that doesn't mean that the rest of us can't get on make a decent
number of Qs, and have fun too.

Don't have a 160M antenna?  Neither do I.  My only  antenna is a 24 ft
flagpole.  Hardly a 160M antenna, and probably as inefficient as an antenna
could be for 160.  But I can make QSOs.  Almost all USA with some VEs in
there.  I like 160M and I like to challenge myself.

Why not you?  If you have any antenna see if you can load it up.  If so,
you can make some Qs.
