NC QSO PARTY

The NC QSO party comes up February 23, and is always a blast, especially if
you're mobile CW and have a peloton following you around the state creating
a pileup at every new county. I can't remember how many years I've been
doing it and it never ceases to be one of the top contest events of my
year, even counting the VP5M Dxpeditions. N1MM has a really cool system for
changing counties.

Unfortunately, I can't do it this year. Cataracts are a symptom of age and
the surgeries plus recovery are scheduled for February to get ahead of ARRL
SSB at VP5M.
I have a big-ass Tarheel Screwdriver 160-10M mobile antenna that is mounted
on a standard trailer hitch and will go into any vehicle with a standard
receiver without any mods or holes. You just plug it into a cigarette
lighter and plug a coax into it and your radio. I would love to loan it to
a team who will get on for NCQP this year and be a voice crying in the NC
wilderness! I can also give you my N1MM+ setup info and also loan you the
"airline" style seatback laptop shelf I use which hangs behind the front
passenger side seat.
Never had a noise problem with my K3 in Honda or Audi.
First ask, first gets.
73,
Jim K4QPL
