Comments:
A fun contest as usual. First time out in a big contest from home QTH with the
reduced scale antennas--which proved earlier expectations and observations. 20M
was not strong without the TH7 at about 20M AGL. But the SteppIR on the shorter
12M AGL crank-up was great on 15 and 10 with outstanding runs, especially on 10.
I also spent a lot of time S&P chasing mults to push the part time score up.
Used the 180 degree button a lot when there was action to SA and Far East at the
same time.
Discovered I have major line noise at about 170 degrees so had to bear off for
South America. Fortunately the SteppIR is sharp enough to null it out when not
aimed directly at the source. I suspect the noise isn't too close as it only
showed up when aimed at it and it didn't seem as bad on the N-S 40M dipole.

I'm looking forward to being with my all-star team at VP5M for ARRL SSB. I'll be
mostly on the mult bench as my run skills are even less on phone. Listen for
us.
73,
Jim K4QPL VP5M
