All,

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you Thursday evening. Here's a
couple items to consider before we get together.

     1. I have the physical medal awards for last season's Olympics that I
will bring to the meeting. For those of you who are out of the area,
please check your data in the PVRC roster and correct your mailing
address. I'll pack up your award and mail it to you.

I know a couple of you in the local Raleigh/Cary area who are out of
town this week. If you have someone close by you who can pick-up your
medal please let me know and I'll give it to him.

     2. I believe we've pretty much exhausted our dialog about next year's
meetings. Now it is time for action.

Where are we: There is no "one size fits all" solution. Analysis of
where we live and who attends how often shows that we have roughly equal
numbers of us living North AND South of Raleigh and who routinely attends.
And a roughly equal number too far away who attend via Zoom. And we have a
goodly number of us that prefer in-person meetings. I certainly do. And I
(and K3YDX) have a 60 mile round trip to our current meeting venue.

     What can/should we do?

     - For guest speakers. Do nothing regarding meeting location.
Continue with monthly guest speakers, * OR* - switch to a once a quarter (4
annually) guest speakers. Your thoughts? Just a yes/no will do.

     - For meeting location(s):
          1. Do nothing. Just keep up with what we're doing now in
2025. *OR*
          2. Go to Zoom only meetings. *OR*
          3. Locate a second location on the North side of the city and
alternate meeting locations each month. Perhaps locate a new south site
location.

I'd like to resolve this issue this week. Please note that to do
number 3 above we will need volunteers to seek and personally check out
potential new venues. *IF WE CAN NOT GET VOLUNTEERS TO DO THAT WE WILL NOT
BE ABLE TO DO OPTION NUMBER 3.*

Of course, there easily may be another option that I haven't
recognized. If you see it, please *SPEAK UP.*

I look forward to seeing/hearing your thoughts.

73... Bill K3WA
