The PVRC-NC Chapter invites you to our regularly scheduled Hybrid Zoom
meeting on November 7, 2024 6:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

And, just like that, its November - the heart of the fall contest season.
We have four of the really BIG annual contests in November: the CW and SSB
Sweepstakes and the CW and SSB CQ WW DX contests.

As you know, these four are PVRC 5M contests.  All four are very important
to PVRC.  So, please get your stations set up and tested a day or so before
each of these contests start, get on the air, and make PVRC the loudest,
most frequently heard and winningest contest club on the bands!

This is one of those years when the calendar gets strange.  The CW Sweeps
are on November 3, before our November meeting.   And the clocks change
back to EST that weekend.  Beware and be ready!  And this year the CW CQ WW
DX contest is the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving.  Please plan accordingly.
Schedule your Thanksgiving travel to be after the contest and, equally
important, plan to enjoy a long Thanksgiving weekend with no contest
Thanksgiving weekend.

Our guest speaker this month will be Frank, W3LPL with a presentation on
low band receiving antennas, just in time for the low band season.
