During this month's Chapter meeting several of us mentioned that they were
unaware of the State QSO Party Challenge competition that PVRC competes
in. Complete details are provided at
*https://stateqsoparty.com <https://stateqsoparty.com>. *Here's an
overview:

*2024 State QSO Party Club Challenge Rules. *The State QSO Party Club
Challenge program is sponsored by Icom America and administered by the
State QSO Party Group. These awards are available to all licensed amateur
radio operators who meet the specified award requirements. To qualify, all
individual participants must adhere to the State QSO Party Challenge rules,
available on the StateQSOParty.com website.

*Purpose: To provide a means of recognizing a club’s performance* in the
State QSO Party Challenge which consists of the aggregate total SQP
Challenge activity of individual amateur radio operators who are affiliated
with a club or multiple clubs.

*Time Period: February 3, 2024 – November 30, 2024*. November 30th is the
last day to make a 3830scores.com form submissions.

*Approved Contests:* Points will be awarded for participation in an
“Approved Contest.” Links to all of the approved contests can be found on
the State QSO Party website at *stateqsoparty.com
<http://stateqsoparty.com> *

*Participation: *For an operator to have his/her scores included in the SQP
Club Challenge, the operator must have submitted at least two QSOs each in
at least two state QSO parties.

*Score Reporting:* Only activity posted to 3830Scores.com is counted.
Participants are encouraged to submit their logs to the State QSO Party
sponsors before reporting to 3830Scores.com. Participants will be on their
honor to report correct information to 3830Scores.com.
     • Club names are located in a drop-down menu on the “Club” field on
the 3830scores.com “Contest Submission Form”. If the club name doesn't
appear in the drop-down list, then select “Other” and then enter the club
name in the field.
     • The club name included on a operator’s 3830scores.com entry will
receive credit for each operator’s activity/score in the specific contest.
     • 3830Scores only allows an operator to choose one club for each
entry.
     • The operator may be a member of the selected club OR may choose to
be affiliated with the selected club. Club membership is not required.
     • If no club name is included on a 3830scores.com entry form, then the
operator’s activity/score will not be included in the SQP Club Challenge
leaderboard.

*Scoring:* A club’s score is the sum of the total number of QSOs made by
participants who are affiliated with the club reported on 3830Scores.com
multiplied by the total number of SQP Approved state QSO party contest
entries by participants who are affiliated with the club as reported on
3830scores.com. Total Club Challenge Points = (Total Number of Club’s QSOs)
x (Total Number of Club’s Contest Entries)
