PVRC won this 2023 combined SSB+CW event, but YCCC was close behind us!
So far, in 2024 YCCC is ahead of us based on their SSB score but are within
reach pending a big PVRC showing in this weekend's CW contest.
Let's go get them!
If you are doing a multi-op but short of operators, please reach out to
PVRC with a note looking for ops.
As a reminder, here's a short overview of the rules.
Your total score this contest will be QSO points multiplied by the number
of unique Prefixes.
QSO points on 7, 3.5, and 1.8 MHz are worth TWICE the points of the other
bands so when 160, 80 and 40 meters are open for you, then be there!
QSO points for different continents are THRICE the points of working your
own country stations. So work DX if you hear it, duh!
Prefixes count as multipliers only once per contest (NOT per band...), *let
your logging program determine active multipliers for you* (e.g. the
'Available window' in N1MM+).
Self-spotting or asking to be spotted is not permitted.
Begins *8pm EDT Friday* and goes through 7:59pm Sunday
Full rules at https://www.cqwpx.com/rules.htm
The propagation conditions will be... could be just about anything from
super-duper to temporary radio blackout, but there will be a lot of DX ops
on the air as always.
Have fun!
