The first PVRC 5M contest is just a few days away - the ARRL RTTY Roundup.
What better a way to kick off 2025 could there be than by kicking the year
off with fresh DIDDLES?

Yes, diddles - the first 5M contest of 2025 is the ARRL RTTY Roundup. This
contest starts at 1800Z (1 PM EST) 4 Jan and ends 2359Z (7:59 PM EST) 5 Jan
2025. Logs are due within 7 days after the contest ends.

So, please get on, have fun, and help make PVRC the winner to start 2025 on
the right note. Please remember that winning a club competition, like the
RTTY RU, has two main components: Getting as many members as we can on the
air and keeping our collective butts in the chair for as long as we can,
and then a bit longer.

In PVRC we have our big guns who do a contest for the full time and rack up
big scores. They'll be there. But big guns aren't enough to win. It
takes the rest of us, even the QRP operators with a wet noodle for an
antenna to get on for as long as we can and bring our club score up to
winning levels. That means YOU!

If you're a RTTY guy, we'll see you there. If you've never tried RTTY
before, now's the time. You can do it - and you have over a week to get
ready. Almost every modern rig can do RTTY. All the software you need is
available online and free. There are many easily available sources of help
available.

The two most prominent are:
     1. rttycontesting.com - all the RTTY help you ever wanted to know
     2. Our own PVRC reflector - all the help you could ask for by the
world best RTTY ops

So, please give RTTY a try. Help your club! Get more 5M points!

If your brain is still stuck on the holiday season and the new rig Santa
left you, just remember the song - Jingle Bells. Goes something like this:

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells
Diddles all the way

Or... Fresh diddles for all and for all a good night!
