The PVRC Galleon Sails Again! We need all hands on board.
Here is another reminder that WPX SSB is this weekend. PVRC needs all hands
on deck and POINTS
if we are to fare well in this contest. Yes, everyone can work everyone,
but take note of the fact that
working non-Stateside contacts gathers more POINTS. Also, working those DX
stations on the low
bands, 40 and 80M, count for even more POINTS.
Use Assisted, particularly if you are low power. Use the N1MM Band Map and
the Mults and Qs window
to readily find those DX contacts. "Walk" the band using the appropriate
keyboard controls for the Band
Map and the Mults and Qs window.
Even if SSB is not your favored mode, make the event less burdensome by
operating several time
periods throughout the event. BIC Time gathers more POINTS. Just remember
to make your breaks
between operating periods at least 60 Minutes.
Also, the total of PVRC's score in SSB and the coming CW test in May will
determine if we win. Let's
make it happen this year!
*IMPORTANT NOTE*: Please, please spot all S&P SSB contacts. N1MM has a
check box under the
Config tab that automates this for you.
