[PVRCNC] CQ WPX CW 2023 Ops needed VP5M

When Spring comes, can WPX CW be far behind?
W2TT and AF3K are packing their bags and will be QRV at Harbour Rock as
VP5P for CQ WPX SSB.
Unfortunately, PVRC member and NASA satellite dude Rob, KK4R was not able
to single-handedly reschedule a critical launch for end May and has had to
withdraw from the more important job of helping VP5M do a repeat
performance as World Winner, M/S LP for CQ WPX CW 2023. Rob is also my
SCUBA dive buddy so I'll miss him for that also.
I've just put out a notice for VP5 alumni, but I'd also like to give PVRC
folks an opportunity to be an op at VP5M for the first time. We may have
another vacancy but that's TBD.

So talk sweetly to your XYL or significant other and join us for one of the
most fun contests of the year. Forget about mults as there are so many of
them, and just RUN, RUN, RUN. We've also got the hardware interlock working
so the second radio can jump in as well without bruising the elbow of the
run op. We not only won M/S LP for ARRL DX SSB this year, but the all-PVRC
team set a new record, beating, you guessed it, VP5M 2022, so you KNOW the
station plays well.

The logistics are simple. We take a discounted rent for the villa and
divide by participants, including me also paying my share. Food and the
etc. are pooled and divided at the end of the week. We now also have a boat
so snorkeling and a cruise on Grace Bay was a fun diversion for the ARRL DX
SSB crew this year.
