[PVRCNC] FW: ARRLDX SSB W4BBT SOAB HP

I think that delaying an ID on SSB is one of the ways to manage stations use to manage the pileup. If you have 10 callers picking out a full call can be really tough. Why add more callers? So, I kind of get it. I’d prefer they ID every 3rd Q and that would be very tolerable. At the same time busting those pileups can be tough at least for me with just wire antennas. I’ll drop a marker on the band map and come back to it after working one or two others. I found that to be pretty effective this weekend. It’s quick to hit ctrl-up/dwn arrow a couple times to get back to the marker.

The thing that annoyed me more were the callers on some of the rare mults where everyone tries to be last and call multiple times without listening. It slows everything down since the DX often gets covered up and often has to repeat the call they want to work when everyone finally stops. I wonder if the DX stations ever just don’t log some of those worst offenders and they end up with a NIL? The same drop a marker on the band map works as above.
