You've heard it before. You'll hear it again. The NAQP RTTY is this
Saturday. This is one of our 2023-24 5M contests. In fact, you will get
DOUBLE 5M points in this one.

It's no secret that PVRC is very competitive in the NAQP contests. We need
every score, every QSO, every point from every member who can get on
the air for this contest.

Please remember that your log must be submitted within five days. But
that's not the most important metric.

For the intra-club NAQP competition, we gather the scores from the on-line
scoreboard, That scoreboard closes down five (5) MINUTES after the contest
ends. So, here's some tricks and tips to make sure your complete score
gets counted.

In your setup for on-line score reporting you can set the
reporting periodicity. The default is 5 minutes. So, when you finish
your time in the contest, you may shut down your logger before your
complete score gets entered. Wait five minutes before shutting down. That
will ensure your final QSO gets uploaded. If you are really paranoid,
check the on-line scoreboard to check to see that all your QSOs are there
before shutting down.

I set my reporting interval to 2 minutes just for safety's sake.

There have been any number of emails on this reflector giving the
procedures for setting up your scoreboard submissions. If anyone needs
help getting set up, drop me a note and I'll try to help.

One last tip. So, I know that every one of us sets up our station before
the contest starts to make sure you are all ready when the opening bell
rings. After you've done that, leave your logger on. Please remember to
check your setup for the scoreboard as well. Look at the scoreboard. Do
you see your call listed? Is it in the correct class? Power level? Then
enter a dummy QSO. Within 5 minutes it should show up on the scoreboard.
If not, double check your settings. Then delete the dummy QSO from your
log.

Good luck Saturday.
