Did you ever wonder why Valentine's Day takes place in Mid February?  I've
been wondering about that for years.  And I've finally figured it out.
It's because years ago the calendar czars decided we contesters needed a
chance to make things up with our spouses after spending every weekend in
January competing in a significant contest.  So we buy the candy, get the
card, take them out to dinner and say we're sorry a dozen times or so.
Then we go home, chug a beer, turn on the amp, and call CQ Contest.

Naturally they're lots of contests to choose from in February.  But for us
in the NC Chapter there's only two REALLY big ones.  The number one REALLY
big one is the PVRC-NC Chapter meeting on the second.  The other is the
North Carolina QSO Party on February 26.

Of course, neither of these events award you 5M points or qualify you for
the Olympics award.  There's plenty of those to choose from.  But these two
are special.  So...

PVRC-NC invites you to our scheduled Hybrid-Zoom meeting.  This meeting
will be a combination of an in-person meeting for local members and a Zoom
meeting for the rest of PVRC.  Zoom attendees BYOB.  Mark your calendars.
