 Hi Everyone

Here is the announcement for the RARS in person get-together. HF stations are setup for demo and letting newcomers get on the air.
VE exams are also done.
Notice that Krish W4VKU will be there with about 500 cards that will be sorted. Come and help.

This coming Tuesday, February 28th, we’re having our 11th RARS Gathering.
The Gathering setup starts at 6pm.  The usual get-together/doors open/snack time/play-time and social starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm.  Antenna teardown and table re-arrangement will start at 9pm.   See attached image for how to get to our antennas and to the entrance to the meeting hall.
At this Gathering we’ll also have VE license examination starting at 6pm.  There is no charge for the exams. Contact Joe White at jwhite001 at bellsouth.net   for more information.
Starting at 7pm we’ll have a couple of HF radios set up for voice on 20m and 40m with outdoor dipole antennas.  We’ll have a project table where we can do powerpole cables, power supply wiring, coax jumpers, sell coax off the roll, test radios, test some kinds of antennas.
The Gathering allows for shows and tells at dozens of tables so bring your project and share it.  This operates something like a middle school science fair.Your children "Harmonics" you would trust around hot and sharp tools or expensive radios are welcome!
RARS club: We’ll have RARSfest tickets available as well as club memberships and renewals.
There will be some surprises including portable ham station demo or VHF/UHF antenna construction and testing.

One unusual thing this month is a QSL card sorting project. Krish W4VKU has asked for help sorting QSL cards.  If you have never handled QSL cards and/or don’t know about QSL card submissions for awards and whatnot, you’ll want to see this and help doing the sort.
Krish has QSL cards for these stations:VU7AG, VU7KP, Lakshadweep IslandsVU4CB, VU4K, VU4KV, Nicobar and Andaman Islands8Q7KP. Maldives Islands
They are all going to the ARRL outgoing QSL bureau. The bureau requires this sorting when submitting for awards.
Please sit down and help sort cards. It will not take long if we have enough people. We promise interesting cards and interesting conversation.
