[PVRCNC] PVRC NC and RARSfest 16 April

GM PVRCers,

     On Saturday April 16, 2022 the Raleigh Amateur Radio Society (RARS)
will host their 48th annual hamfest in Raleigh NC called RARSfest.

     RARSfest is the Raleigh ARRL Hamfest and ARRL Roanoke Division
Convention.  The location is at the NC State Fairgrounds, 4285 Trinity Rd
Raleigh NC 27607.

     RARSfest hours are 8 AM to 3 PM.  The website is www.rarsfest.org/
You can order your tickets on-line.

     We expect a good PVRC presence at RARSfest.  This is the first PVRC NC
in-person get together in the two years since Covid started.  Please come
out and join us.

     To make the 2022 RARSfest even more fun, Wayne, KU4V, reached out and
arranged a combined PVRC and CDXA (Carolina DX Association) luncheon at the
Backyard Bistro from 12:30 until 2 PM.  Thanks Wayne.

     What could be more fun than to get a room full of contesters and DXers
together for a lunch which includes good food, adult or other beverages of
your choice, and great ham radio conversation?

     The Backyard Bistro is located at 1235 Hurricane Alley Way, Raleigh,
NC 27607.  It is a Sports Bar specializing in outstanding NC BBQ along with
a full menu of foreign foods like burgers, ribs, shrimp and grits, and
