Gents,
It's that time again. The temperatures are up and the Covid is
down. And it's time to consider in-person meetings again.
We'll be discussing this subject during our April meeting. Meanwhile,
here's some food for thought to chew on.
First off, we need consider the media. Meetings live and in person
are one option. They are always fun and fueled by adult beverages and
food. But then we have some members who live too far away to attend. It
would be a shame to not have them with us.
Or we could just stick with monthly Zoom meetings. Or swap between
live and zoom meetings each month. Or maybe do something else.
And then there's the where. I talked with Manchester's the other
day. Sorry to say they have decided to no longer reserve or use their back
for groups (like ours). I also talked with the manager at Chow. He
rembered us. Not good. He remembered that we had estimated 20 people.
And that only 6 or 7 showed up. Their current policy is to require a $500
minimum ticket for use of their back room.
With nowhere to go now, we'll have to find a new home.
So, please put your thinking caps on. And pretty please log into our
April meeting for a lively discussion and meeting.
