Well...that was fun. Since I was operating in the "Indoors" category, I
had less time to devote to setting up equipment and antennas, and Friday
was cold and windy at the beach house. I started on 20M and tried to get a
run started, but it was not working. Then I spent too much time S&P before
switching to 40M. In retrospect, I should have started on 40. 40M was
almost solely a run effort. The raised 40M end fed half-wave really worked
well this time. I was able to work right past the frequency bandits and
hold my run spots, except for the evening broadcasters. I did not hear a
lot of PVRCers in this one; guest they were all on 160 CW.

Rig: Elecraft K3+/100
Antennas: (1) 40M end fed half-wave Inverted-L with base raised to 9 ft
above ground (sand); (2) 45 ft modified AT-1011 vertical with radials
(used on 20 and 80 via the K3 ATU)

73,
Henry - K4TMC
