I know this project was dear to Jack's heart before he became SK, and
no one picked it up afterwards. I was a "beta tester" for a couple
projects and Carl, N4PY, also helped a lot with the software. While
working out the switching and dealing with the limitations can be
challenging, it also has a lot of versatility for remote when used
with remote desktop and similar. Bert bequeathed his unused primry
board to me. Many thanks, Bertie. However, for a project I'm working
on to isolate and make my SteppIR at VP5 more lightning resistant I
need at least one expansion board. Does anyone have one gathering dust
I could buy, beg, borrow or steal? Needs to be expansion, not another
primary board.
Along similar lines, lawyers don't make very good internet systems
technicians. SIPs, IP, Gateway, DHCP, Port Forwarding, DYN-DNS, etc.
etc. are all driving me crazy trying to set up a K3/k30 pair to
operate remote using RemoteRig boxes with CW and N1MM+ needing to go
along for the ride.. If anyone has put these beasts together before
and knows how to set up all this stuff easily, I'd really appreciate
some help. I've spent several nights studying but I'm not sure I'm
getting anywhere. At least not to the point where when they are
sitting next to each other that just a simple press of the power
button does something at the other end.
Covid distancing doesn't help, but I do have Remote Desktop and
