[PVRCNC] OCF dipole as a vertical

I'm planning on using some "quarantine" time to do some antenna experimentation. At Surf City, I have been using an 80m OCF dipole as an inverted vee with apex at 65-70'. So far, I have been underwhelmed by its  performance all around. I expect if I could mount it as a flat top, it would probably work well, but I only have the single support and only smaller trees in the neighboring vacant lot.
What I am thinking of doing is mounting a 40 meter OCF as a slanted wire vertical. As my shack is on the 4th floor, the feed point being raised is no problem. In fact, it shortens the coax run needed. Does anyone have any experience with vertical dipoles?
Y'all stay safe in this madness!
Hope to see you for the virtual meeting on Thursday. We wouldn't have to do it on the internet if we all had access to some HF radios...hmmm...anybody got one? :>)

Will
