[PVRCNC] PVRC NC Thursday, June 4, 2020, 7pm to 8pm Over-the-Internet

Hello PVRC and friends,

*Note the time: 7pm-8pm.*

As with our April and May meetings, our regular first Thursday monthly
meeting of the PVRC NC East Chapter cannot be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 in
the group room at Manchester's Bar and Grille, or be held anywhere as a
physical gathering, while obeying North Carolina statewide and Wake County
social distancing orders due to the pandemic.

Fully understanding and cooperating in the spirit of the orders, and with a
modicum of success the previous times, we will again do our meeting
over-the-internet using our PVRC officers' account on the GoToMeeting
server.

Mike Barts, N4GU, will obligingly again be at the controls for the meeting.
Technical stuff for logging on, audio+video, audio only, is below. For help
from someone that actually knows how it works, post to the reflector, or
send me an email . Mike and I will be watching.

Note the time change: We have moved the time from the Manchester's dinner
meeting times, to 7-8 pm to allow folks to eat at home when their own food
is cooked, since we will not be both eating and bantering across the table
as during a Manchester's meeting.

All are invited. Since this does not involve travel, we have specifically
included our compadres from the Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem area
on the invitation, making this a PVRC NC meeting, and we would love to hear
how some old friends out there are doing. We are also inviting prospective
members to join in. (I'm using BCC for non-reflector-subscribed emails to
avoid exposing their emails.)

In addition to our regular around the table, Mike N4GU will be giving a
presentation on PVRC Awards programs for prospective and long-time members
alike.

Per our special pandemic rules, these online meetings are official and
count for the two meetings for new members.

As always "Newcomers and visitors distinctly welcome. You will be treated
like you've been our friend for twenty years."

[Note: Understanding economic damage our current situation can do to small
businesses, we hope that Manchester's makes it through all this stuff OK.
They are our longest running meeting spot, and for sure with the least
member complaints of any sort. And the manager is a really nice guy. We
would really hate to lose them and the Manchester's Deluxe, the Mad Dog
Burger, and pretty decent Italian-ish menu items. Good Luck Manchester's.]
