Hi Eric,
Thanks for the analysis and your work in FD. We did better than I thought. Yes, we didn't do much with bonus points, but being a contester I tend to get more involved in operating and that's where we excelled. But looking at the QSO totals if we had pushed up the bonus we would have probably made Roanoke and easily made top 10. Guess there's a lesson there for doing better in an "operating event", not a contest!

Appreciated using your good contesting call. Heard you in SS S&P on 20M but didn't stay in long enough to work.

73,
Jim K4QPL

Subject: [PVRCNC] Field Day Results

I just reviewed the initial Field Day results. The PVRC Carolina All Stars had a pretty good showing.

#12 - in the 2A class with 7620 points and 2306 QSOs
#1 - in NC, Edged out Smithchart ARS K4OO with 7076 points and 30 participants
#3 - in Roanoke Division - beat out by 2 other PVRC affiliated participants
   - Rappackers NR4M with 8906 points / 2164 QSOs
   - PVRC Blue Ridge W4YY - 8302 points / 1979 QSOs
#5 - in total QSOs - 2306 (note we beat the other PVRC teams)
   #1 - W1NVT(VT) - 4528,
   #2 - W1LY(RI) - 3172,
   #3 - N9AU(WI) - 2388,
   #4 - N4TP(WCF) - 2335

We probably could have done a bit better by paying more attention to some bonus points.

Check out the online results article https://field-day.arrl.org/fdresults.php.

Thanks again to Jim(K4QPL) and his son for hosting us at Grey Goose Farm as well as Dan(N3ND), Don(W4BBT) and Ed(K5OF).

Eric - NR4O
