WPX CW and SSB are wonderful events. It's great to be able to work anyone
for points - makes this event fun from almost any station because there are
usually more people to work. This year was no different. In recent weeks I
was able to add a few stack matches and get the ability to split directions
on 20/40. It was really nice to be able to do this in WPX - huge help!
While happy with the antennas, I had technical difficulties that took the
steam out of me on several occasions. Those issues were solved before the
contest ended but the heat in the shack is a problem. I need to address
that before IARU. Nonetheless, a great contest with great conditions. The
20M opening to Asia on Sunday morning was fantastic. Nice to have a steady
stream of JA, BY and others from Asia calling in. As usual I got sucked
into the high band NA activity. On another note, 2BSIQ with serial numbers
to copy is one heck of a challenge - but worth it! 73, Nate/N4YDU NR3X
