Dear PVRCers:

HNY!

Who out there is interested in seriously competing for WRTC 2022? 

The new rules were released yesterday and seem to incentivize wrtc-style m/2 teams of 2 for up to 6 contests, and seem tobreak up teams of contestants who come from 2 different qualifying areas. This, in turn, seems to incentivize teams of 2 to form early in each qualifying region.  Our qualifying regions is W3 and north-W4.

I, for one, am interested in trying to qualify, and have been building a SW VIrginia to be competitive, as well as working on my operating skills. Mine is surely not the best station out there, but it's not bad . 

I've always operated low power, but given the rules, I have to quickly by some amplifiers for so2r before the arrl Dx contest, or find somewhere to operate from. 

If others are interested in qualifying for wrtc2022, or if anyone is looking for a team member (I am, for one), please send me a note off of the reflector, and I will compile all responses and send out to all of pvrc. 

As a club, it could help pvrc to be competitive if we all know who is pursuing wrtc and what stations are available or if teams are being formed.

Bolognia is where wrtc will be held, and it's the birthplace of wireless communication, where a young Gugliemo Marconi did his first experiments of radio.
