Funny how a simple message like this can cause a person to smack their forehead and think "well of course!". When I think of all the time and energy I put into terrain analysis and making software that brute-force modeled dozens of stack designs with months of CPU time before my personal reality caught up and I put building a contest station here on the shelf permanently... Well, that's life. Brian K3KO helped me with that work and unfortunately the ad hoc mash up of NEC and scripts to combine the models with terrain data is long gone or I'd throw it on BitBucket in case it might be useful. I don't know how the use of drones might relate to arrival angles, but if it does, boy howdy, this could be a cool tool. It seems there should be no doubt about the potential for a solid empirical approach to determining a station's real vs imagined behavior with respect to some aspects of performance and perhaps feeding that back into a modeling process.

I’ve developed a Radio Drone that plots antenna polar patterns. Looking for
someone to test it with near Raleigh, NC.
Know anyone?
