Thanks for great turnout last night at the PVRC club meeting!
The ARRL was kind enough to send a link to the antenna article, some of you
asked for it, here it is:

As we discussed last night at the meeting, it is really critical that you
check out "Wireless Girl" and file at FCC ECFS on the various rulemaking
petitions (Instructions are easy at "Wireless Gril" look for her
Sirens)......and critical you also file similarly with your congressional
leaders (all 3 of them) about the need to keep all data in ham radio open
for intercept by the public. Its really a battle royale, and your voice
matters in congress, since congress tells the FCC what to do, and this is
about the long term safety of our country and our hobby and our culture and
the abilty to attract future technical experts into the ham bands.
If you have friends at other contest clubs, please see if you can ask them
to take a stand, indivdidually and as a "club" in front of ARRL and the FCC
and congress, as it will need that kind of support to bring back the
openness to our hobby that we need to thrive as a country, and in STEM (I
teach and see the deficiencies in American students compared to other
countries). See this:

Please, its really vital that you write congress, write ARRL leaders, and
the FCC, and please see if PRVC can take a club-position in front of ARRL
and FCC on RM-11831 (the need to pass it) and rejection of NPRM 16-239 and
RM-11828. We must get openness and collegiality back to ham radio and a lot
of lies have been spread to protect the effectively encrypted data. That
needs to end if our hobby is to heal and grow. That is why we must stop urge
congress to tell FCC to pass RM-11831 and to have the FCC stop/deny NPRM
16-239 of unlimited data bandwidth and RM-11828 (385,000 instant potential
encrypted data users on the HF bands).
