Hi Kaz,
Hey, give me a break and 3 Q's between ID's! Don't think I ever did more
than that.
Not so sure a penalty worse than the Wouff-Hong is fair, though.
I was not aware of that N1MM feature, and I can assure you that WI6LID and
99% of his buddies didn't know about it or use it either. But the manual or
N1MM driven imperfect QSY to the spot saved the day for many, even if they
didn't know why they got picked up out of the pileup so easily.
Oh, well, a couple more days of water and sun in paradise and I'll be almost
ready to say I'm looking forward to next time ;-)
No, I did send CQ a few times on 10M and when the hornets didn't swarm I
moved on. Worked a LU1 S&P for a double mult. He was loud here but obviously
not being heard stateside. Hit the 180 degree button on the SteppIR which
pulled him up over S9 and he copied me.
73,
Jim, K4QPL/VP5M

For my own entertainment I have decided to start working these stations and
logging them as QRZ1, QRZ2, QRZ3. Then they can get a bunch of dupes when
I work them five or six times. Let the log check robots figure it out.

FWIW, as someone who enjoys casual S&P without using spots, I let them have
2 Q's without ID before QSY. I'll be in 100 or 200 logs, but probably
seldom in theirs.

For the zero beats, I think N1MM has a feature that lands you on spots
offset by a user defined ##hz. O'course, getting WI6LID to USE the feature,
now that's different.

Prol'y easier than getting kaz/lid to use N1MM though.

No 10m from VP5? Yuck..

Enjoy the vacation! Beats raking my wet leaves.
