Comments:    It was a weekend of ups and downs. The low bands were fantastic the first night, capped off with my first JA QSO on 160 from home at sunrise.
The second night was much different for the low bands - lots of static and the return of a local buzz just after sunset. This local noise has been a huge issue of late, especially on 20 meters. It impacts 80 and 40 to some extent.I was hopeful the noise would leave by Sunday morning in time for the good EU openings on 20 because the band was an absolute blast on Saturday morning. With the exception of a 25 minute reprieve, the noise was present until about 17Z before leaving for the remainder of the contest.
I decided to go assisted a little past the halfway mark to help ease the pain of the local noise. The move did get me to refocus for a good stretch but I retired early and slept for about five hours the second night.
The JA opening on 20M late the second day was very solid - very nice to run JAs from home at a decent clip. Forty meters was best here on Sunday afternoon with good rates to most of EU. Fifteen meters was lackluster for sure and I managed just one Q on 10M with K3LR for the double mult.
After operating many big events from serious stations in recent years, it was nice to operate from home and focus on improvements. The biggest improvement has been the addition of a 4 element QUAD for 10-15-20.
The station worked quite well - happy with the Flex 6600M performance for SO2R.
