Glad to hear Duke is ok on the meters.
However, I must advise you will be hearing from my PI lawyers, Dewey, Cheatham and Howe, for burning my fingers and creating general anxiety from your intentional keying of a source of interrupted continuous wave RF energy on approximately 7040 Khz to a SteppIR dipole loop antenna about 30' above my head in November, 2017, at about 2 a.m. at a foreign location also known as VP5. While I have been unable to obtain a medical diagnosis to support my claim, I'm quite sure a jury would be more understanding.
73,
Jim

Subject: [PVRCNC] Duke Energy RF meters

I was on the team that did the RF evaluation of the Itron 900 Mhz meters, and I did followups if there were RF issues. Very few overall...most were in-band interference to cheap 900 Mhz devices (baby monitors, Dollar store wireless phones). We just migrated them to 2.4 Ghz

There were a few Chapel Hill folks who were convinced that 50mw at 900 Mhz were causing all sorts of health-related issues and they needed to be compensated! Some claimed to be RF sensitive and could feel a "burning sensation from RF or "hear it inside their head". I challenged them to a test to see if they could really feel the RF. If so, we would pay to put them on a conventional meter. No one ever took me up on it!
Ler me know if you have any negative issues. I still know a few guys there :).
    73,
    Will AA4NC
