[PVRCNC] Yaesu and remote rig

Hello fellow pvrc'ers:

Has anyone used any freeware to remote control the yaesu ftdx5k using the remote rig hardware? What do people recommend as accurate, and fast and easy to set up with a pc?

I have the 2 remote rig boxes working now, where one yaesu ftdx5k directly controls a second ftdx5k over the Internet,  so I'm "this close" to being able to remote a ftdx5k from anywhere using a pc! 

I just purchased  a USB to rs-232 db9 male cable atBest Buy for my traveling PC, and my very last step is to make the traveling pc talk through a yaesu pc program through the rs-232 to the "traveling" remote rig box.

I would welcome any tips or experience anyone has  with doing this. I tried the yaesu freewear software that comes ready to use with the ftdx5k, but could not get that software to "open" any ports on my pc.
