Hello Club:
Does anyone have two identical pieces of perf board, or a relatively thin plastic board, that I can have/buy to bolt variable capacitors to, so that I may affix the variable capacitors on the perf board and then insert and screw the perf board assembly into an outdoor weatherproof box?
This is for the dual band, "no moving parts" single coax 80/160 m vertical array project I mentioned at the last club meeting.
The dimension I need is pretty exact to fit in the bottom of the weatherproof cabinet, and I don't have any kind of saw to cut anything with:
Qty 2:
5 3/4" x 6 7/8" perf board
I will drill 4 holes near the corners of the perf boards, to affix into the water proof cabinets.
I'll bring these to the pvrc club meeting in aug for show and tell. The weather proof boxes are pretty nifty, I had not seen any like this before, they are a Kraloy product, NEMA rated, and very easy to use and ideally suited for ham radio use, and only cost $14 each (and were in stock) at State Electric.
Thanks in advance! I'm in town this Monday and can come pick up.
