[PVRCNC] [PVRC] WRTC 2018 Live Scoreboard

I agree. I can understand bad cell service and equipment failure, but cannot understand the breakdown in manual reporting. N4YDU/N3KS reporting ran anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour late throughout when the info said it would be reported every five minutes. . Right now the contest is over and their last report was around 1100Z. I’m sure they finished better than 22, but “inquiring minds would like to know.” Was this because of further cell phone failures, or a referee/computer operator asleep? Pony Express could have gotten the news faster. While we’re interested in all the contestants, we especially follow Nate and Kam as Nate is from our NC PVRC chapter.

I hope the absence of these stations is not due to disqualifications, but it certainly appears all 63 stations will not operate the full 24 hours.

Right now, the difference between first place (#1) and last place (#63) is almost 2.5 million points, which makes no sense.

Also, the WRTC call sign check sheet only lists 56 of the 63 stations previously announced before the start of the contest.

There are many questions to be answered.

Just like in NASCAR, it appears that a few stations had severe rig or operator problems and have already dropped out of the contest.

I am basing my suggestion on the live Scoreboard updates and the lack of spots for those stations.

Time will eventually tell the story.

Good luck in the WRTC 2018.
