The bargains are better than I thought as I just looked at my receipt and it
seems they are compounding discounts. I bought 10 various component packs
among other stuff.

For example, a diode assortment list price $3.49. 50% off less 25% storewide
clearance = net price $1.31.
		Resistor pack $1.49 same calculation = net price $.56 

Fine-wire silver-based solder, other supplies also on sale.

Good time to stock your junque box! I posted this on the NC reflector, but
thought other areas may also want to keep an eye on RS stores near you for
similar deals. We won't have Radio Shack to kick around much longer! I asked
the clerk how long they would stay open. I had to laugh when he said they
had not been officially notified they were closing. He laughed also when I
said it was hard to avoid that conclusion with this kind of "Clearance Sale"
going on and shelves not being restocked. I guess they'll stay open until
they run out of stock. Discounts may get bigger if you wait until the bitter
end with reduced selection.
