Mike,

The rest of the story is a happy ending -- the TV never blinked while I 
had a ball in the contest.  My wife thought the improved picture (bigger 
and better) was worth the money, whether it cured the RFI or not.  Most 
importantly, she was pleased with my efforts to conduct thorough testing 
and transmit as much as time would allow over the weekend!  It did help 
that I got all the leaves raked and a few other honey-dos taken care of too.
