Jim:
You are welcome to use my TS-480 if you want a pair for running SO2R.

Jack and Dan kindly took my Orion II to the factory a month ago and hand
delivered it to them. I got an immediate acknowledgment that it was received
and I would be "contacted soon". Guess "soon" is a relative term. Sent a
follow up email and got the response that they were moving and "hoped to get
it repaired next week." I had already told them I was counting on getting it
back before SS CW. Sent a "Not a happy camper" email and got an automated
response "thanking me for my inquiry." Is the Alpha virus contagious in a
marriage?

At this point I rather suspect my SO2R QRP plans look like a SO1R with the
TS-480 as primary radio plus a large empty space on my desk. The '480 isn't
a bad second radio, but on a crowded band, an Orion it ain't.

As a contingency plan, does anyone close by have an extra radio around I
might borrow for the weekend? Obviously, the better, the better, but beggars
can't be choosers. It won't be driven more than 5mph...(W)

73,

Jim, K4QPL
