[PVRCNC] June Meeting

Nate,

I won't be able to make the meeting. My suggestions for WRTC (based on my experience long ago) is to:

1. HAVE FUN and enjoy the social experiences. That is what you will always remember. The contest itself will be forgotten in a few days.

2. Make sure you have your gear tested/working and have some backups for failures (especially computers/jump drives, etc. as even time lost to a computer lockup could be catastrophic). If the rules allow it, I would have an online backup radio and networked computer. I know you and Kam are going to do FD as a shakedown - excellent idea.

3. I doubt that most operating plans that you make will survive the first hour of the contest. There are too many unknown variables and the margins will be very slim as they have spent a lot of time and effort to normalize the stations. Make sure you two can communicate well and can make decisions together on the fly.

4. See #1.

73,

Will

Group,

I received a request from K4OV to speak about WRTC preparations at the June meeting. I?ll also be looking for suggestions from those who may have some. It will be very informal.

Any other ideas for upcoming programs in the months to come?

73,

Nate/N4YDU
