[PVRCNC] recommendations for Carribean contesting site?

I've always wanted to experience a contest from the DX side, and I've decided to finally go this winter - either ARRL DX SSB or more likely CQ WPX SSB.  I'm a complete newbie with this, so I"m looking for pointers and recommendations.  I'd love a Carribean island with typically few contest operations, one that I can get to fairly easily (I'm using up my airline miles), and one that is straightforward for licensing.

What recommendations are there for the best contesting islands that meet these goals?

Are there recommendations for either complete stations or know hotels/houses that are supportive with hams setting up a station?

And where are some good resources for information to prepare for a trip, especially if I need to bring antennas and equipment?
