PVRC NC East Team #1 submission.
At the beginning I thought that this was just going to be another SSB outing
with the ever constant issue of keeping my butt in the chair. I was never
able to get anything going on either 10 or 15 meters and was very happy to
be running SO2R to keep some rate, although very poor. Waited too long to
go to 20 and it was hard to find a run frequency. This is when the
enjoyment started. Although not sustained, I was able to get the rate over
300 a few times with the peak at 316. Not bad. 40 meters was even better
peaking out at 396. That was a new high for me on either SSB or CW, but not
yet the peak for the day. 80 meters delivered an almost unbelievable 419
rate. WOW! That was fun. But, what I would never have believed, my first
jump to 160 delivered a rate of 444. As I already said, not sustained, but
unless N1MM was lying, the Qs were coming that fast for a brief time. Who
would have thought my peak rate would have been on 160.
Thanks to everyone for the Qs and the moves, although I did not do enough
moves.
Back to CW next weekend for CQ 160 CW.
73,
Bruce
